My goodness! 99pc of rumours are true?

[...] Gosh! I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the interview of RPK — you know, the master’s graduate in ISA studies from Universiti Kamunting (UK) — in the Riz Khan programme (Astro Channel 513).

When asked about his website Malaysia-Today, this is what he said: "Ninety-nine per cent of the rumours eventually turn out to be true." Error is only one per cent. So sue him! He also said: "I have always been told that two things sell, and that is sex and politics. And sex involving politics sells even more."....

..... Malaysians simply do not believe what politicians say anymore, and worse, they are always trying to read "between the lines" in mainstream papers.

Malaysians believe in rumours because rumours often offer a better explanation for what is going on in our society. We live in a society where conspiracy rules and where private interests almost always overrule public interests.[read more]
