‘People can refuse water rebate’

Those who decline Penang’s water rebate for the needy can notify the state in writing.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the state would “graciously” accept their rejection of the RM100 rebate per family for households earning less than RM1,500 a month.

“They can write letters stating their refusal. We accept, we consent, we agree. The letters will also be a guide for us to gain feedback on the rakyat’s stand about the rebate,” he told a press conference at the Penang Development Corporation here yesterday.[read more]

the new Penang govt is towing BN's line in offering political bribes to the people.

there is nothing more sinister than taunting a reluctant participant in this charade.
