On Friday, Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin had said the state would fork out RM2.7mil to acquire the new cars, saying there was a high cost to maintain the Perdana fleet.
Ngeh also blamed the Federal Government for the Camry’s high price, saying that the actual cost of the imported car was only RM97,000.
“But because the Federal Government refused to give tax exemptions, the price is RM167,000,” he said. [read more]
