Malaysia’s top blogger stumps for KLIA-East

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 — With many prominent bloggers, ranging from Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and PKR member of parliament Wee Choo Keong to blogging doyen Jeff Ooi campaigning against the proposed KLIA-East low cost carrier terminal (LCCT), Malaysia’s top lifestyle blogger Kenny Sia has decided to become the lone cyber-voice in the wilderness and thrown his support behind KLIA-East.

Sia, who attracts approximately 20,000 readers a day, tackles the subject with his trademark wit and irreverence pointing out that “while other cities in Malaysia are on their knees begging for an airport, Air Asia is willing to give Kuala Lumpur one free of charge! Please remind me why we are having this debate again?”

On the oft-cited subject of redundancy, Sia says “having two sets of control towers immigration and customs instead of one is wasteful... why not shut down Subang and move Firefly and Berjaya to KLIA?” [read more]
