KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 — Umno’s disciplinary board has suspended two more members after they were found to have breached party regulations.
Batu division Wanita Umno member Nor Aisah Rajab was suspended for six years or two terms for lodging false reports pertaining to Umno’s divisional elections held recently.
Taiping Umno member Muzamir Ismail, who is also a blogger, was suspended a year for posting inappropriate pictures in his blog, slander and being an agent for certain parties.
Their suspensions, both effective Jan 23, were announced by the board’s chairman Tan Sri Tengku Ahmad Rithauddeen Tengku Ismail at a media conference at Umno’s headquarters here today.
On Dec 22, the board suspended Pokok Sena Umno chief Datuk Ahmad Lebai Sudin for two years and another Wanita Umno member for three years, also for breach of party regulations. Their suspensions were effective last Dec 7. [read more]
