A Perak Umno division deputy chief and two Umno member agents will be charged in court by the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Thursday for allegedly giving bribes during the party’s division election in November last year.
The division deputy chief will face trial for allegedly handing out a RM300 bribe during the election.
The two agents will each be charged for bribing a voter with RM200 to support certain candidates running for the Pahang and Malacca division chief posts respectively, MACC said in a statement.
All three will be charged under Section 10 (b) of the MACC Act 2008.- Star
