[...] Then this morning, DAP were in for a shock.
DAP had entered into contract with the ‘owner’ to rent out this premise in Kampung Cina for use as their bilik gerakan for the duration of the by-election.
This morning the local authority enforcement officers descended on the bilik gerakan to order that it be shut down.
A little later, the ‘owner’ appeared, and in a most apologetic fashion, offered to return in full, monies paid by DAP for the rental of the premises.
Seems the ‘owner’ isn’t exactly quite the owner but manages the place for a company or a consortium, which is helmed by the present MB, who gave the orders to shut down the bilik gerakan. [read more]
