Ketuanan Melayu Does Not Exist, Says Umno Info Chief

Umno Information Chief Muhammad Muhd Taib says that Ketuanan Melayu (Malay Supremacy) is just sweet talk and does not exist in reality.

He told Sin Chew Daily that the real focus is not on the term itself, instead, it is on whether Malays and Bumiputra are able to apply what they have learned and contribute to the society.

"It would be a success as long as Malays and Bumiputra do their best and perform well in business, service and other sectors, and even as an employee," said Muhammad Muhd Taib.

He stressed that the term "Ketuanan Melayu" was created by some people with an unknown motive. [read more]
